The 30th edition of the Lucile Ball Comedy Festival in Jamestown, NY will celebrate the 46th anniversary of Saturday Night Live with former SNL cast members David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin Nealon. The three will play a “Legends of SNL” show on Saturday, August 7th. This is a great opportunity to experience the best of live comedy by night, after experiencing the story of comedy – across all eras and genres – by day, with a trip to the National Comedy Center and the Festival.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Jamestown, NY – Tropicana Dinner & Show
Arrive today in Jamestown, NY, the hometown of Lucille Ball. Check into your hotel for a three night stay.
This evening you head to the Lucy Desi Museum for a dinner and a show at the Tropicana, a recreation of Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan nightclub. Enjoy the retrospective screening of great musical moments in the vast television and film career of Desi Arnez. (D)
Day 2 – Lucy & Ethel Photo Op – Lucy Hometown Tour – Dinner Show – Comedy Show Block Party
This morning have a guided tour of Lucy’s hometown with a knowledgeable guide who will take you to places of significance to Lucille Ball in Jamestown and nearby Celoron. You will see the house that she was born in, the house where she grew up and much more. Lucy’s hometown honors “America’s Favorite Redhead” with five murals painted by a local artist.
Add-in Option: Lucy & Ethel Photo Op. Groups that wish can have photos professionally taken on the recreated “I Love Lucy” set with professional Lucy and Ethel impersonators! This picture makes the best keepsake to commemorate your trip to Lucy’s hometown. ($45 per person)
Next, you join Lucy and Ethel (played by actors) as they return for the 30th Annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival for this laugh-out-loud meal that can only be seen in Lucy’s hometown.
Tonight, enjoy live music, beer, wine, food trucks and more just outside the National Comedy Center. Jeff Foxworthy is scheduled to perform at the Comedy Center this evening. You may purchase tickets on your own for the performance if you wish. (B,D)
Day 3 – National Comedy Center – Lucy Desi Museum – Desilu Studios – Legends of SNL
The morning includes admission to the National Comedy Center and the Lucy Desi Museum. The Comedy Center is the first non-profit cultural institution and national -scale visitor experience dedicated to comedy. Opened in August 2018 the museum complex offers an unprecedented visitor experience using state-of-the-art technology, interactivity and personalization to create the first true 21st Century museum environment.
You will also have time to visit the Lucy-Desi Museum. The Museum maintains a significant collection of personal belongings. Costumes, gowns, photographs, letters, scripts, and awards are among the memorabilia on display.
You will also visit Jamestown’s Desilu Studios displays exact replicas of the “I Love Lucy” television studio sets including the Ricardos’ New York City apartment living room and kitchen and the Hollywood hotel suite where Lucy pantomimed with Harpo Marx and set her nose on fire with William Holden. Also featured are a life-sized mural of the original studio audience, the opportunity to do your own version of Vitameatavegamin, original props and costumes from “I Love Lucy” and more.
This evening, the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival will mark the 46th anniversary of Saturday Night Live in 2021 with three of SNL’s most popular performers: David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin Nealon. The “Legends of SNL” show will take place on Saturday, as the National Comedy Center reunites these comedic talents on stage for an unprecedented stand-up comedy show (tickets pending availability). You also have time to enjoy another night of the Block Party. (B)
Day 4 – Chautauqua Belle Brunch Cruise – Depart for Home
This morning all groups depart for home.
Optional Brunch Cruise: Groups that have time to spare can board the historic 1776 Chautauqua Belle, one of the last operating steamboats in North America, for a two-hour Brunch Cruise. You will see the Chadakoin River the way Lucy would have when she took the steamboats. Along with seeing Jamestown and Celeron from the River, you will hear about the local history of the area that Lucy loved and grew up in. Menu includes bacon & eggs, sausage, home fries, homemade bread, assorted pastries, and summer salad. Best dressed Lucy will win a grand prize. ($49.50 per person)
