Day 1 – Cincinnati – This great Faith Based Tour begins with arrival in suburban Cincinnati for a three night stay. Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – Creation Museum & German Dinner – Today you will tour the Creation Museum. Be prepared to experience history in a completely unprecedented way. This state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot museum brings to life the pages of the Bible, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and in familiar settings. Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden. Children play and dinosaurs roam near Eden’s Rivers. The serpent coils cunningly in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Majestic murals, great masterpieces brimming with pulsating colors and details, provide a backdrop for many of the settings.
The museum has been divided into unusually configured spaces that allow for personal interaction with each of the 160 exhibits. Several parts of the museum, including the stunning forty-foot high portico with its cliff wall and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, flaunt open spaces and remarkable designs. Walk through the Garden of Eden. Dig up dinosaur bones—or come face to face with T. Rex.
You can also take in a theater presentation with special effects complete with rumbling seats and rising mists, takes visitors on a fantastic quest to find the real purpose and meaning of life. Or you can visit the Stargazers Planetarium. Prepare for lift-off. The digital projector showcases a spectacular gravity-defying spaceflight, a thrilling ride billions of light years away to the vast outer regions of our universe.
There is so much more to do at the Creation Museum. Visit the Petting Zoo or Botanical Gardens, visit the Bookstore or take a ride on the Zip Line. Lunch is on own today at Noah’s Cafe located at the museum.
Late afternoon, you will depart the Creation Museum and head back to the hotel or you can visit the Main Strasse Village, a quaint German Styled Village. Browse through the shops, see the Goose Girl Fountain and the Carroll Chimes, which displays the Pied Piper of Hamlin, on the hour.
Enjoy Dinner and live music tonight at the Hofbrauhaus, the first authentic Hofbräuhaus in America, modeled after the legendary 400+ year old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany! Enjoy many of the traditions from Germany that have made Hofbräuhaus famous. From the traditionally decorated rooms in the building to the beer that is brewed on-site, and of course the excellent German fare. (B,D)
Day 3 – The Ark Encounter – This morning after breakfast, you will tour the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY. The Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind historically themed attraction. In an entertaining, educational, and immersive way, it presents a number of historical events centered on a full-size, all wood Ark, which will be the largest timber frame structure in the USA. It is designed to be family oriented, historically authentic, and environmentally friendly.
Next, tour the Basilica of the Assumption, a one third replica of the Notre Dame in Paris. Among its 82 stained glass windows, is the largest window in the world and a Rose window larger that Notre Dame’s.
Enjoy a free evening at Newport on the Levee, a multi-level retail entertainment center located strategically on the Ohio River. The Levee features a variety of entertainment options and restaurants, along with several specialty shops, carts, and kiosks. (B)
Day 4 – St. Louis – Today you will travel to St. Louis, MO and your first stop will be at the Gateway Arch. The nation’s tallest monument at 630 feet, the Gateway Arch has beckoned visitors for more than 40 years with its iconic, awe-inspiring shape. The vision of renowned architect Eero Saarinen, the Gateway Arch commemorates Thomas Jefferson and the St. Louis’ role in the westward expansion of the United States. Take a 4-minute ride up the leg of the Arch in an enclosed tram to the Observation Deck. See up to 30 miles in every direction on a clear day.
Check into your St. Louis, MO hotel for an overnight stay. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 5 – Noah in Branson – This morning you travel to Branson, MO and see a matinee performance of “Noah.” Board one of the world’s best-known ships, as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary Bible story comes to life all around you! Noah must act to save his family from the coming flood, but he won’t have to act on his own. God has given him the plans for a massive ship that can withstand the storm—all he must do is build it. Noah invites everyone to come on board, but each person must decide whether to embark on this faith-filled adventure.
Once the show is over, you travel continues to Eureka Springs, AR for a two night stay. Dinner is included this evening. (B,D)
Day 6 – Great Passion Play – Today is spent at The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs. Visit the Bible Museum which is made up of more than 6,000 Bibles in 625 languages as well as 3,000 artifacts. The Sacred Arts Museum features a diverse mix of artistic mediums portraying Christ and the Christian life. There are over 1,000 works of art in 64 different forms with pieces dating back to the ninth century.
Next, The Holy Land Tour provides you with the unique opportunity to experience the people, culture, and history of the ancient Middle East. You will explore the ancient Middle-Eastern culture in which Jesus was raised and will meet characters from the time of Moses to the time of Christ. As you tour through the New Holy Land, your guide will explain each exhibit and will stop along the way to allow you to meet Biblical characters who will help you understand the living history of the scriptures. Each of the individual exhibits in the Holy Land Tour have been researched for historical accuracy and have been recreated as authentically as possible, here you will:
– Speak with a “Levitical Priest” in the full-scale replica of Moses’,
– Visit a replica of a first century Inn typical of the type where Mary and Joseph may have asked for shelter,
-Walk beside the “Sea of Galilee” with Simon Peter as he speaks of his last days with Jesus,
– and Visit to the upper room where Jesus and his disciples feasted for the Last Supper.
You will also enjoy a wonderful dinner in The Great Passion Play’s Great Hall Buffet. Finally this evening, The Great Passion Play. The performance begins with the resurrection of Lazarus and continues on the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem on the day known as Palm Sunday. During the performance you will witness the significant events leading to and including Christ’s crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven.
You will see the colorful spectacle of the market place, the pageantry of the chariot and camel caravan, and the hustle and bustle of the crowds as they go about their daily activities. You may especially enjoy seeing the live animals on the streets of Jerusalem, the poignant healing, the angel rolling away the stone at the tomb, and the dramatic and exciting ascension of Jesus into the night sky.
Hundreds of actors and actresses, live animals, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting create an unforgettable experience for you under the stars. (B,D)
Day 7 – Depart – Following breakfast this morning you will depart for home. (B)
