In 2025, the Tulip Time Festival is celebrating its 96th year! Holland has a rich history and heritage to share with its visitors. The Festival began in 1929 to celebrate Dutch heritage in the community. Today the fun continues with parades, Dutch dancers, national and regional entertainment, dinner shows, a Dutch market, fireworks and the stars of the show, millions of tulips throughout Holland. You never know what will happen in a small town festival. Here’s a flash mob of street sweepers before the Muziekgroep Parade.

Day 1 – Holland City Tour with Costumed Guide – Windmill Island – Tulip Gardens – De Klomp Wooden Show
Arrive in Holland, MI this afternoon. Meet your local Costumed Guide for a city tour. Enjoy an inside look at Holland and the Tulip Festival. Next, visit the Windmill Island Gardens is a beautiful oasis on the edge of downtown Holland, MI. It features a 249 year old working Dutch windmill “De Zwaan” (meaning graceful bird). The windmill, which reaches 125 feet from the ground to the top of the blades, towers over 36 acres of manicured gardens, dikes, canals and picnic areas.
Then stop at the Tulip Gardens, Holland’s only tulip farm is ablaze with acres of tulips from late April to mid-May.
Next, tour the De Klomp Wooden Shoe and Delft Factory, a store that words cannot describe. From the time you walk into the door, your eyes will not believe the beauty and splendor of the items on our shelves. Talk with the wonderful staff as they explain how they make products from beginning to end production. See the detail and pride of work that goes into each piece of product made. There are over 400 different pieces hand- painted by highly trained staff.
Check into your Holland, MI hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included tonight at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – Dutch Markplaats – Dutch Village – Muzienparade – Wine Tasting – Dinner & Show
This morning visit the Dutch Martplaats. Located in the Civic Center, the Dutch Marktplaats features a Dutch food court and performances on stage. There are also local craftsman demonstrating their art.
Then visit the Dutch Village. Step back in time to the Netherlands of 100 years ago where you’ll enjoy Dutch architecture, canals, and beautiful gardens. Learn a few steps from the klopen dancers, watch artisans make cheese and carve candles. While here, enjoy a Dutch Culinary Experience. Learn how to make a traditional Dutch “Koffee kletz” and Ban’ket along with lunch.
Next, you will have reserved seats to watch the Muzienparade – one of Michigan’s most spectacular parades featuring floats, Dutch Dancers, marching bands and more! With over 4,000 participants, 170 units and the longest parade route in Michigan.
This afternoon you will enjoy a Tour & Tasting at either Fenn Valley Winery or Coppercraft Distillery. Tonight, enjoy a dinner and show. Schedule to be determined. (B,L,D)
