Itinerary
Day 1 – Mansfield, PA
After a day of travel you arrive in Mansfield, near the Pennsylvania/New York Border. Check into your hotel for a two nights. you enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – Corning Museum of Glass – PA Grand Canyon – Covered Wagon Ride
Travel to Corning, NY and enjoy a guided tour and glass demonstration at the newly expanded Corning Museum of Glass. There will also be time for browsing in our gift shop. The Corning Museum of Glass cares for and displays the world’s best collection of art and historical glass.
Take a lunch break (on own) in quaint downtown Wellsboro with free time to browse the shops.
Meet your guide in Wellsboro who leads the way starting with a covered wagon ride into the PA Grand Canyon. Follow Pine Creek, on the floor of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon along the Pine Creek Rail Trail.
Your wagon guide will entertain you with local history, point out wildlife and be happy to answer your questions. Bring your camera and keep an eye open for a pair of resident bald eagles.
Next, visit the Grand Canyon Overlook. This tower overlooks beautiful PA Grand Canyon Countryside with a panoramic view (360 degrees) of the surrounding land. The canyon is 47-miles long, 1,000 ft. deep with a wilderness landscape of breathtaking beauty that will capture your imagination and renew your spirit.
Dinner is included tonight at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 3 – Jamestown, NY – Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center – Lucy Tour & “Eat Like Lucy” Spaghetti Dinner
After breakfast you depart for Jamestown, NY in the Finger Lakes, this is the hometown of Lucile Ball. On arrival you have time for shopping and lunch (on own) downtown.
Then tour the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center including the Desilu Playhouse & the Lucy-Desi Museum. The Playhouse features exact replicas of the most famous sets in television history, a “Vitameatavegamin” opportunity vintage costumes, memorabilia. and more!
The Lucy-Desi Museum exhibits costumes, wardrobe and personal memorabilia of Lucy and Desi, plus screenings including excerpts from Lucie Arnaz’s Emmy Award-winning documentary ‘Lucy & Desi: A Home Movie’ and historic TV episodes.
Also included is a two-hour guided Lucytown Tour aboard your coach with highlights including the home where Lucy grew up and her gravesite.
Check into your hotel for an overnight stay. Then enjoy an ‘Eat Like Lucy’ spaghetti dinner in the Lucy-Desi Center’s Tropicana Room. (B,D)
