Itinerary
Day 1 – New York City – Today, you travel to the “Big Apple,” New York City. On arrival, check into the Sheraton Times Square for a three night stay. Located in the heart of Midtown NYC, the Sheraton Times Square is just steps from Times Square, Rockefeller Center and the Broadway District. When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find that Central Park, Radio City Music Hall and Midtown NYC attractions are only minutes away. You will have time to freshen up, relax, or explore the area before dinner this evening.
Enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a popular NYC restaurant followed by free time in Times Square. Shop, experience the magic of Times Square, or maybe even take in a Broadway Show (on your own). (D)
Day 2 – Flatiron Food, History & Architecture Tour – 9/11 Memorial – One World Observatory – Enjoy breakfast this morning in Hudson Market, the hotel’s signature restaurant.
Then you explore New York City’s newest foodie neighborhood with the Flatiron Food, History & Architecture Tour. This tour allows you to enjoy gourmet tastings while learning about incredible history and architecture throughout the tour’s duration. From Eataly to Shake Shack, the sculpture garden of Madison Square Park and photos at the Flatiron Building. Sample some of the best the city has to offer.
This afternoon, you tour the National September 11 Memorial and Museum Memorial honors the lives of those who were lost. It occupies eight of the 16 acres at the World Trade Center and will be a tribute to the past and a place of hope for the future. The names of every person who died in the terrorist attacks of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001 are inscribed in bronze around the twin memorial pools.
Then visit the One World Observatory. Start by ascending to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere in less than 60 seconds; look toward the horizon and feel the City’s invincible spirit. Explore three levels filled with innovation and inspiration at One World Observatory, located in the top three floors of One World Trade Center.
Tonight, dinner is on your own. This is your chance to explore the city and its great dining options. (You also also the option of adding a Broadway show this evening.) Enjoy free time to explore Times Square at your leisure before casually strolling back the hotel. (B, Food Tour)
Day 3 – Statue of Liberty Cruise – Top of the Rock – Today board the Ferry for Ellis Island Immigration Museum and the Statue of Liberty. In 1886, The Statue of Liberty Monument was a given to the United States from France to celebrate the friendship the two endured during the American Revolution. The Statue of Liberty has over the years has symbolized the freedom and the democracy of the United States. Your admission today includes the Pedestal. Perfect for taking photos of Lady Liberty.
More than 12 million immigrants entered the United States through Ellis Island, the nation’s chief gateway during the years 1892 to 1954. Today, over 100 million Americans can trace their ancestry to the immigrants who crossed this island before dispersing to points all over the country. Following your visit take the Ferry back to Battery State Park.
Later this afternoon, enjoy free time in the city and lunch on your own.
Tonight features a farewell dinner at Carmine’s Italian Restaurant. Carmine’s is a true New York tradition, renowned for preparing the finest Southern Italian cuisine. Every meal is served in the style of an Italian American wedding feast, featuring extra large portions of home-style antipasto, pastas, seafood and meat entrees served on extra-large platters designed for sharing.
After dinner, visit the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center. Three 360-degree-view observation decks at Top of the Rock showcase the City’s spectacular skyline. (B,D)
Day 4 – Shopping Time – Depart for Home – After breakfast at the hotel, make one last visit to Times Square for last minute shopping or sightseeing. After lunch on your own depart for home with fond New York City Memories! (B)
