Following dinner, enjoy The Carolina Opry Show at the Carolina Theatre. This music variety show features a cast of 36 of the nation’s top singers, dancers, comedians and musicians in its own 2200-seat show palace with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and three giant video screens. The show, which is continually updated with new music and comedy, is two hours of high energy entertainment that blends humor and dancing with everything from rock ‘n roll, Broadway and country to classic hits, pop melodies and gospel. Day 2 – Beach Boys Tribute Concert – Barefoot Queen Riverboat Lunch Cruise – Shag Dancing Lessons – Low Country Boil – The Time Warp at The Carolina Opry
This morning, at breakfast in your hotel you toast the sunrise with a Mimosa (Champagne & Orange Juice) at Breakfast. Then it’s “FUN FUN FUN” as you dance along to the best Beach Boys Tribute Band, “Sail On.” Sail On plays all of the Beach Boys’ classic hits, plus some treasures from the band’s brilliant extended catalog, recreating the soundtrack to an Endless Summer completely live and in rich detail.
Next, enjoy a lunch cruise on the Barefoot Queen Riverboat. Cruise the Intracoastal Waterway aboard this 70 foot authentic wooden riverboat with 2 cooled/heated interior decks and three outdoor deck spaces. Enjoy the scenery, the history of the area and the wonderful fresh air while enjoy a included lunch.
The afternoon will feature Shag Dancing Lessons. Hold hands, move your feet, and do a twirl. Doing the Carolina Shag is that simple! The Shag, which is the official state dance of South Carolina, got its start in North Myrtle Beach in the ‘40s when college kids on spring break flocked to the beach. Learn a thing or two about the shag and make unforgettable memories out on the dance floor with old and new friends.
This evening, you enjoy a Low Country Boil at a local restaurant followed by another show at the Carolina Opry. The Time Warp features the best music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and is blended with rich multimedia screens, special effects, and elaborate costuming. This fast-paced, high-energy show will take you back to the decades that brought us the best in American popular music! (B,L,D)
