Itinerary
Day 1 – Frankemuth – Today, travel to Frankenmuth, MI. This afternoon take a tour of the Frankenmuth Brewery.This fascinating tour features the history of beer brewery and the entire brewing and bottling process at the Frankenmuth Brewery. You will also see the Frankie Root Bier being made and bottled. After your tour, sample some of the authentic craft-brewed beer, and Root Bier.
Then check into the Bavarian Inn for a two night stay. The Bavarian Inn is situated along 13 acres of beautiful riverfront property in the heart of “Michigan’s Little Bavaria.”
Tonight, enjoy a home-cooked German, Jager Schnitzel dinner at the Bavarian Inn with live music. (D)
Day 2 – City Tour, Wine Tasting, Famous Chicken Dinner – Begin the day with a guided tour of Frankenmuth. Discover the history of this Bavarian Village replica, and familiarize yourself with the shops and attractions you wish to visit later.
Next, return to the Bavarian Inn Restaurant for a Strudel Making Experience. Thousands of guests each year enjoy Dorothy Zehnder’s apple strudel. Now, try your hand at making this signature dessert! Go behind the scenes and create an individual apple or cherry strudel.
Then it’s time for a Sampling of German Wine. You will sample several Private Label German Wines from the area. You will also discover how to read the label (the wine’s “Birth Certificate”) and understand the character of German wines.
Enjoy free time this afternoon for shopping in downtown. Stroll along beautiful Main Street with nearly 100 unique shops including Woolen mills, stylish boutiques, toy shops, sweet confectionary shops and so much more.
Tonight, enjoy the World Famous family-style chick dinner at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant.
The evening is yours to explore Bronner’s, the world’s largest Christmas Store. The sights, sounds, and spirit of CHRISTmas completely surround you at this amazing store, which is the size of one and a half football fields. Bronner’s is overflowing with 50,000 trims and gifts.
You may also want to enjoy Christmas Lane at Bronner’s, illuminated with over 50,000 strings of lights stretching over half a mile and the Silent Night Memorial Chapel. (B,D)
Day 3 – Depart – Depart Frankenmuth this morning and stop in Dearborn, MI at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Covering more than 90 acres, comes alive with the unforgettable sights, sounds and settings of America’s past.
