Itinerary

Day 1 –  Racine, WI – Arrive in Racine, WI and check into your hotel for a two night stay. Dinner this evening is at the Hobnob Supper Club, established in 1954 and located on Lake Michigan. Supper Club’s became popular during the 30s and 40s and were considered a “destination” where patrons would spend the whole evening, from cocktail hour to nightclub style entertainment after dinner. Enjoy your evening in a casual and relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. (D)

Day 2 – Racine City Tour – Lehmann’s Bakery – Fireside Dinner Theater – This morning you meet a local guide for a city tour of Racine.  Your guide will provide insight to the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings in the area.

Next, stop at Lehmann’s Bakery for a tour and samples of the famous Danish pastry, Kringle. Lehmann’s Bakery is the oldest continually operating bakery in Racine, and has carried on the tradition of making the original Danish Kringle for more than 80 years.

This evening will be spent at Fireside Dinner Theater in Fort Atkinson, which has earned the reputation as the Midwest’s premier dinner theatre and Wisconsin’s number one year round motorcoach attraction. The Fireside is a theatrical adventure like no other, fine dining and an opportunity to purchase gifts and treasures to take home and cherish forever. (B,D)

Day 3 – Milwaukee – Harley Davidson – Door County – Fish Boil – This morning travel to Milwaukee and visit the Harley Davidson Museum. Compelling exhibits, behind the scenes tours, rocking events and hands on fun for adults and kids. All rooted in Harley Davidson’s rich history. There is lots to see and do!!  Also while in Milwaukee you will enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city.

Arrive in Door County, WI early afternoon and kick off your adventure with a meet and greet at the Door County Visitors Bureau. With more than 300 miles of spectacular shoreline and five state parks, Door County is a pleasure lover’s dream come true. Check into Door County Hotel for a two night stay.

Dinner this evening will be a traditional Door County fish boil. Just as the Scandinavian settlers off the Peninsula did 100 years ago, fresh locally caught whitefish are cooked outside over an open fire along with small baby red potatoes and sweet boiling onions. During the cooking process, fish oils naturally rise to the surface which “boil over” along with water in a fiery spectacle signaling the end of the cooking process and the beginning of dinner! Day 4 – Goats on the Roof – Washington Island Ferry – Dinner & Entertainment – Begin your day with a unique and authentic Swedish breakfast experience at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant where live goats can be found grazing on the sod roof. It’s quite a sight, and it’s made this place one of the most famous restaurants in Door County. Be sure to stop at the gift shop for a special Swedish souvenir to remember your travels.

Following breakfast you will board the Washington Island Ferry for a half-hour trip across the four mile passageway between the tip of the County and the island known as “La Porte des Morts” or “the door of the dead.” During your boat ride learn the history of the outlying islands and an intro to Washington Island. Return to the mainland early afternoon and enjoy some free time to explore Door County on your own. Dinner this evening is included.

This evening following dinner travel to Birch Creek Music Performance Center for an evening of symphony, jazz, or percussion and steel band entertainment. Birch Creek Music Performance Center is where 200 students and 100 faculty members study by day and present concerts by night in a century old, 500 seat Dutton Concert barn. (B,D)

Day 5 – Fish Creek Scenic Boat Tour – Green Bay – Evening with Smoke Dancers – This morning after breakfast take a cruise along the scenic Door County shoreline with Fish Creek Scenic Boat Tours. Be sure to have your camera ready as you cruise past the 145 year old Eagle Bluff Lighthouse… learn the history of Ephraim and the millionaire’s estate “Englemar” on Horseshoe Island and more!

This afternoon, travel to Green Bay, WI.  On arrival, enjoy a guided city tour where you learn about how the history of the Packers have influenced what it is today.

Then check into the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center for the night.   Enjoy a welcome reception upon arrival. The Radisson Hotel & Conference Center offers amenities like a free shuttle, and an indoor walkway to Oneida Casino.   Included for each passengers is $20.00 in free play.

This evening enjoy an Oneida Indigenous Buffet & performance by the Oneida Nation Smoke Dancers at the Radisson. Oneida Nation Dancers will demonstrate the different styles of pow-wow dances which include men and women’s traditional. There will be an emcee that will talk your group through the program and explain the different styles and significance of each dance. This is an interactive performance, so be prepared to join in the dancing to the beat of the drum. (B,D)

Day 6 – Oneida Nations Tour – Depart for Home – After breakfast depart for the Oneida Nations Tour.  This cultural tour includes stops at the Oneida cultural museum, the Oneida buffalo overlook, Oneida village area where life size longhouse and original log homes that Oneida’s lived in when they moved here from New York during the 1820s.  Final stop is at Oneida Market for natural products, Turtle Island gifts & Native Crafts. After the tour, depart for home. (B)
